A sit-in design, it has the optional sprung buffers, electric boiler feed pump and 18 litre water tank at the rear, with coal storage under the upholstered driver's seat.
Free-rolling on sealed takeup bearings with EN8 steel wheelsets, the tender is fitted with a mechanical screw-down brake and is piped through for vacuum.
The feed pump has a timer to avoid overfilling the boiler - you press a button to start, it cuts off automatically after a programmed delay. It needs a standard type-063 lead acid battery, along with a couple of woodscrews to secure it to the baseboard.
The partition plate between rear and coal compartments has had a small V-shaped piece cut out - functionally of no consequence, although it's been poorly done and needs tidying up with a file.
As with all the Ride on Railways stuff, it's a well thought out and robustly built piece of kit - there's more information on their website here.
