Based on a steel chassis, with steel wheelsets running in roller bearings. The four stroke Briggs & Stratton single cylinder engine is coupled to an Eaton hydrostatic transmission giving continuously variable forward and reverse speeds, with chain and sprocket drive to the wheels.
A useful size garden railway locomotive, it's just over a yard long and weighs in at a little under two hundredweight.
Unused in some years, this one has come to us as part of a collection of petrol and battery-electric locomotives. After fitting a spare battery and putting some fresh fuel in the carburettor, it ran - the fuel tank needs draining of old fuel before refilling with fresh and it will require a new battery before use.
