7 1/4 inch gauge "Sweet William" 0-4-0ST - stock code 6885

One of those stalled restoration projects, a 7 1/4 inch gauge "Sweet William" which we sold back in 2013 when it came in as part exchange against a "Feldbahn". Back then it was part dismantled and in need of paint. It's now in rather more bits with some paintwork done - I'd be inclined to strip it and start over.

Welded steel boiler with expanded tubes, our boiler inspector gave it a twice working pressure shell test in 2013 at 170psi for 85psi working pressure and issued paperwork for same. It's not been steamed since (indeed it's not had water in it). Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Hackworth gear, pole reverser. Twin mechanical lubricators.

A worthwhile project - looks a complete mess at the moment, but I think you could get a decent engine out of this for little expenditure other than time and elbow grease.
