It fulfilled this role admirably until one of the owners retired and moved 200 miles away - the engine came back to us in 2014 (you can see the listing from that time in the archive), since when it's had one other owner.
Since last here it's acquired a steel-bodied braked driving truck painted to match the locomotive, snifter valves, gauge glass protector and a whistle. The original "frighten the horses" safety valve has been replaced with our latest progressive pop type.
Supplied with 12 months warranty, new boiler certificate and starter kit of firing irons, oil, water treatment and coal - exactly the same as with a new engine.
