Shortly after its first steaming the owner's club closed when the lockdown started last year. Mothballed for 12 months, it was brought out again earlier this year for a couple of outings, it's had less than twenty hours use from new.
The owner, a highly capable retired chartered engineer, is now in his tenth decade and showing no signs of slowing up in the workshop. In recent months he has, unfortunately, had to stop driving - with no means of getting the engine and its trailer back and forth to the club, it has now come back to us in close to new condition.
Well-specified when first ordered with options including chime whistle and vacuum brake equipment, the engine has latterly been fitted with a valve chest pressure gauge. There is a two wheeled covered 500Kg trailer included, fitted out with rails and tie down points for the locomotive.
Supplied with handbook, 12 months warranty and starter kit of coal, oil and water treatment - exactly the same as we offer with our new engines.
