Since arriving back it has been through the workshop: we've retubed the boiler which has had a cladding off inspection and hydraulic test; fitted latest specification axlebox springs, stainless coupling pins, snifting valves, valve chest pressure gauge and cast steam valve handwheels.
Driving truck is by Ride on Railways - we've supplied these for many Staffords over the years. As with all RoR stuff, it's a well thought out, bullet proof bit of kit, running on sealed self-aligning roller bearings with a hand operated disc brake.
Supplied with handbook, 12 months warranty and starter kit of firing irons, coal, oil and water treatment - exactly the same as we offer on our new engines.
