The silver soldered copper boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued - the injectors pick up reliably, safety valves work nicely, needing no encouragement to shut once pressure has dropped.
On test the engine steamed freely and proved a delight to drive, running well in both directions. A variety of minor jobs were attended to at the pre-sale service, including adjustment of drain cock linkage and elimination of play in lubricator linkage, which caused occasional erratic feed.
Supplied with a set of firing irons and starter pack of coal and oil. If required we would be more than happy to include half a day's training at our works on the firing, driving and disposal of the engine for a new owner.
