A well advanced "Romulus" 0-4-0WT - well made, if having suffered somewhat from many years storage in a shed. Work to date comprises:
Rolling chassis incorporating well tank
Cast iron wheels, axleboxes with leaf springs
Cast iron cylinders machined and fitted
Hackworth valve gear machined and fitted complete with weighshaft and reverser
Smokebox assembly, complete with door, petticoat pipe and pipework
All silver soldered copper boiler - it's a beautifully made thing, well flanged and a high standard of soldering, with good penetration throughout
Cab - very robustly constructed in 1/8th brass plate
Boiler has a set of CAD drawings with it and full material specification - it's been contructed of C101 copper, 3/16" thick throughout with 1/2" foundation ring, steam dome top cast in LG2, crown stays and bushes in PB102 bronze.
In addition there is a box of parts including dome, firehole door assembly, reverser lever, brake stand, regulator handle and brake parts. To complete the engine will need boiler fittings, cleading and a lubricator (at which point might we respectfully point you to our Parts Shop, where we keep them in stock - a single ram 4 inch scale one would do the job)
Chassis will need stripping - it's currently seized, which is almost certainly pistons in the bores. Not too sure about the Wild West stack, but I'm sure somebody would love it.
