A finely made 7 1/4 inch gauge "Dolgoch" to the Reeves design, built by a professional engineer who was also responsible for the good "Sweet Pea" currently in stock.

Work to date comprises a rolling chassis, CNC-machined cast iron cylinders taken from some beautiful quality Meehanite on what looks like a four-axis machining centre - the cylinders, end covers and valve chests are largely complete, it looks like only steam passages to put in.

Chassis has brakes erected, steam brake cylinder on the right hand side, mechanical brake on the left - brake rod has the correct Acme thread, screwcut on both screw and nut.

There are a couple of boxes of machined parts, including eccentric straps, steam pipes and the highly distinctive spring-loaded buffers which require wooden pads turning up to complete.

Built to a scale of 3 1/4 inches to the foot, this is a large engine which comes out at around 56 inches over the buffers. Complete with a set of drawings - castings are still available from Reeves.
