7 1/4 inch gauge NYC Mogul - stock code 5290

A finely made New York Central Mogul, built in 1992 by Ron Martin, the man responsible - amongst other things - for a pair of legendary 9Fs in 7 1/4 inch gauge. I had one of them in last year, there are pictures in the archive.

Welded steel boiler with expanded copper tubes, 100psi working pressure, feed by twin injectors, steam pump and auxiliary hand pump in tender, spark arrester fitted in smokebox. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with pole reverser in cab. Twin mechanical lubricators. The locomotive is equipped with steam brakes, there is a vacuum ejector and driver's brake valve for train braking.

The headlight is run from a battery in the tender, with switch in the cab.

Complete with spare grate and grate pattern, firing irons and blanks for boiler testing.
