A 7 1/4 inch gauge Maxitrak "Chaloner", one of the iconic vertical boiler locomotives produced by De Winton in the latter part of the nineteenth century from their small factory in Caernarvon (it's still there, just alongside the Welsh Highland Railway station, although nowadays a plumber's merchant sadly).

In good condition, the engine has had recent hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued.

On test it proved free steaming and ran well - we were rather taken with this one, just the sort of quirky narrow gauge thing we like!
