A finely made LNER B1 in 7 1/4 inch gauge to Martin Evans' "Roedeer" design, completed in 2006 and little used since - it is in as-new condition throughout.
Silver soldered copper boiler by Kingswood Boilers, superheated, hydraulic test at 200psi for maximum working pressure of 100psi. Feed by twin injectors with auxiliary handpump in the tender. Cast iron cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with screw reverser in cab. Mechanical lubricator. Steam brake.
The engine is complete with a beautifully-made set of firing irons, drawings and a purpose-built aluminium skinned box trailer which allows loading of the engine and tender coupled together for transport.
I won't ramble on about this one, the pictures show exactly what the engine is like - it's been built to an excellent standard and maintained in as-new condition. If you need to know more, give me a call at the workshop and I'll enthuse at greater length.
