A well built locomotive, the Bishop-Ellis boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued.
Serviced in our workshop, work done has included:
On test, the engine ran exceptionally well in either direction, notching up and steaming freely without need of the blower on the rolling road - the workshop notes recording "a thoroughly well sorted engine that runs quietly"
Paintwork is "working clothes", showing signs of use. Presentable as is, it could be improved during winter maintenance.
Offered with 12 months warranty, set of firing irons and a starter kit of coal and oil; we would be more than happy to give half a day's instruction on the steaming, running and disposal of the engine to a new owner if required.
