We last sold this engine way back in
2004, when I bought it from the glorious, short-lived Oldown Miniature Railway
where it ran for a season. Words below are from then - it's in substantially
the same condition now, although has been fitted with a new CE-marked boiler by
Gloucester Steam in recent years. Pictures were taken earlier this week and
show the engine in its current condition - still runs beautifully. Complete with a set of Milner drawings.
A 4 inch scale model of the Hunslet 0-4-0 "Alice" class engine, the work of a Silver Medallist at the Model Engineer exhibition and in first class order throughout.
The engine is fitted with a good steam brake and mechanical screw down brake. The ride-in tender has a comfortable seat and plenty of room for your feet! This is a powerful engine, capable of negotiating extremely tight radius curves making it suitable both for intensive club running or use on the most compact of garden layouts.
