A one-owner engine, it remains in excellent condition throughout - a result of light use and conscientious maintenance.
Built to a high specification originally, with optional hand-lined paint finish by Adam Meredith, brass cab spectacles fitted inside and out, vacuum brakes, water gauge protector and a chime whistle.
Since arriving back with us the engine has been uprated to latest specification with snifting valves, rod oilers and valve chest pressure gauge, with a lamp iron and rechargeable head lamp fitted.
The boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued. The ultrasonic survey of plate thicknesses indicated minimal wastage; internal inspection by camera showed it to be clean and free of scale, with water treatment having been used since new. A new fusible plug has been fitted - we recommend removal and cleaning each year for the annual steam test, with replacement every other year.
Supplied with handbook, 12 months warranty and starter kit of coal, oil and water treatment - exactly the same as we offer with our new engines.
If required we would be more than happy to include half a day's training at our works on the firing, driving and disposal of the engine for a new owner.
