7 1/4 inch gauge B1 "Mayflower" - stock code 5596

I sold this one back in 2009 to a friend who has bought some of the nicest engines I've had in over the years, including the formidable Britannia "Lord Hurcomb", a new 4 inch Fowler A9, beautifully made Class 37, the Percy Woods' IMLEC-winning J39 and a super little L&Y tank which went like a sewing machine. The collection has recently been undergoing some rationalisation, partly to make room in the workshop for new projects.

A professionally-built LNER B1 in 7 1/4 inch gauge to Martin Evans' "Roedeer" design, completed in 2006 and little used since - it is in excellent condition throughout.

Silver soldered copper boiler by Kingswood Boilers, superheated, hydraulic test at 200psi for 100psi working pressure. Feed by twin injectors with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Cast iron cylinders with piston valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with screw reverser in cab. Mechanical lubricator. Steam brake.

Complete with driving seat and footrests for the tender, which is fitted with a disc brake.
