A finely made 7 1/4 inch gauge 9F chassis, complete with keyed, quartered wheels bored for crankpins, leaf springs and front pony truck with side control springs. Axle boxes are in cast iron with bronze bushes, correctly machined on the inner flange to allow rise and fall of the axle across the frames.

A set of machined cast iron piston valve cylinders are fitted. Standard of engineering is good throughout, there is a complete set of 5 inch gauge drawings from which the builder had scaled up this engine along with a set of unmachined cylinder end cover castings.

A good amount of work is required to get from here to air-running, however cost of material and parts to complete the motionwork is low compared to cost of castings to get this far. Order your boiler now, by the time it's arrived the chassis will be done...
