We sold this one last May, it's recently come back as the previous owner went up a size to 7 1/4 inch gauge. Pictures and words below are from last year, the engine is in substantially the same condition now.
A 5 inch gauge Polly III, the six-wheeled variant of Polly Engineering's ever popular range. Ideal as a beginner's engine, they're pretty much bomb proof and capable performers for club running.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 90psi working pressure, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the water tank. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with pole reverser in cab. Mechanical lubricator.
Overall in good order, there's some paint wear around the top of the firebox and backhead.
