Workmanship is to a high standard throughout, fit and finish of the valve gear and motionwork is good - it steams freely and runs quietly.
The superheated boiler has had hydraulic and steam test in recent days with certification issued for same, it's in good order.
I have a soft spot for this design - we've had lots of them in over the years in various configurations, both inside and outside cylinders, Stephenson's and Joy valve gears, the 7 inch diameter driving wheels giving a very appealing high-geared gait.
