Completed in 1999, it's come to us from the builder, an experienced model engineer, along with his 5 inch gauge "Achilles" 0-6-0T.
An older engine that has seen much running over the years, it had a new boiler fitted in 2017. Whilst it will need some rebushing of the motionwork and valve gear at the next winter overhaul, it's a well-sorted engine that goes like the clappers - there's some video here of it running outside the workshop earlier in the week.
Complete with drawings, a plank wagon with water tank feeding the injector and a pair of well thought out and nicely made travelling boxes for locomotive and tender which include storage for the pump handle, blowdown valve spanner and firing shovel.
