The silver soldered copper boiler - superheated, unusually for this design - has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test followed by steam test, with new certification issued. Water feeds and safety valves work reliably.
On test the engine steamed freely (although we've rarely encountered a "Sweet Pea" that didn't) and ran well in forwards gear, less sure-footed in reverse.
Complete with a purpose-built carrying/lifting cradle.
