I seem to be having a bit of a run on Sweet Peas at the moment, this is the fifth one to turn up at the workshop in as many weeks.
Silver-soldered copper boiler with superheaters, feed by axle pump and injector with auxiliary handpump beneath cab floor. The injector is set up to take water from a separate tank, the pumps feed from the saddle tank. Twin safety valves, twin water gauges with blowdowns. Cylinders with slide valves actuated by Hackworth gear, pole reverser in cab. Twin displacement lubricators, brakes to rear wheels.
I'm still waiting for a Sweet Pea to come in that's difficult to fire, shy to steam and fussy to drive. This isn't the one - it was in steam most of yesterday morning and goes very well. It comes complete with a set of drawings and an electric steam-raising blower.
