A well-made Simplex, this one's in good condition and runs well although the paint's getting a bit frayed around the edges.

Silver-soldered superheated copper boiler, twin safety valves, feed by injector and axle pump with hand pump in the side tank - the bypass return has been fitted up with a natty little sight glass which is something I've seen before on a Simplex, a useful addition.

Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in cab - an practical alternative to Evan's prescribed screw reverser. Mechanical lubricator.
