A well-advanced 5 inch gauge "Simplex" to Martin Evans' design, it's come to us from the family of the late builder.
 

Work to date is done to a decent standard - we'd put the locomotive at about 80% complete, it requires smokebox pipework, boiler fittings and cladding, grate and ashpan and a lubricator.
 

Boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test - it's structurally sound, there are a couple of pinhole weeps which will require calking.
