A particularly nicely made "Simplex" to the popular Martin Evans design, a powerful 0-6-0 tank locomotive pretty much ideal for club running.
This one came from a collection where it had been on display for several years, its owner never steamed it. It has been run in the past, possibly just to test it when built - mechanical condition and paintwork are both excellent.
Silver solder superheated copper boiler, 90psi working pressure, feed by axle pump and injector with auxiliary hand pump in the side tank. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.
The engine steams freely and runs well - there's a clip of it here.
