Unsteamed from new, the engine runs particularly well on air in either direction - the loudest thing the click of the lubricator ratchet!
The boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test - whilst structurally sound there is a bead of water which forms on the end of one superheater flue every ten seconds or so. It would likely seal up under steam but really needs calking whilst still clean, then re-testing.
