5 inch gauge "Simplex" 0-6-0T "Lady Ann" - stock code 6473

A particularly well-made "Simplex", Martin Evans' popular 0-6-0 club locomotive first described in "Model Engineer" in the 1960s - there must have been hundreds built since.

Silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by axle pump and injector with auxiliary hand pump in the side tank. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear, screw reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.

In good mechanical order, the engine runs well - we were impressed with this one.
