Bought as a set of kits in 2009, this Polly V was first steamed in 2012 when it had its one and only club test. The intention had been to steam it to check it went ok - it did - then strip it for painting. The stripping bit went ok, reassembling stalled at the stage you see here.
Given that the engine has been steamed on a handful of occasions, it's unsurprising that the chassis and boiler are in as-new condition. Chassis was painted during the initial assembly, most of the tinware "topworks" have been painted since and are ready to fit.
The engine is complete with all documentation from Polly, including assembly instructions and the original teste certificate and CE paperwork from Priory Boilers.
