Pictures opposite and words below are from October of last year.
A 5 inch gauge Polly V 2-6-0, in good condition throughout and attractively finished in lined Midland red.
Steamed on the rolling road, the engine proved free-steaming and particularly quiet running, with well-defined exhaust beats - there's some video of it here.
As with all Pollys, it's a well-thought out and robustly built engine, with a well-deserved reputation for reliability. It's larger size makes for a very capable club engine, ideal for the first-time owner.
Complete with purpose-built wooden transport crate.
