A well looked after Polly I, in use until recently at the previous owner's club. Pretty much the ideal beginner's engine in this gauge, it has enough weight and tractive effort to do a useful job of work at the club track. A well-proven design, parts (and, indeed, complete new locomotives) are still available from those nice people at Polly Engineering.

Silver soldered copper boiler, 85psi working pressure, feed by injector and axle pump with auxiliary hand pump in the side tank. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with screw reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.
