A particularly well made example of Martin Evans' "Simplex", built by an experienced engineer with many other fine models to his name, including traction engines, locomotives and internal combustion engines.

Boiler was hydraulic tested at the builder's club when completed and stamped with a Northern Association number, we gave it a twice working pressure hydraulic test when it came in. Fit and finish of motionwork is very good, the engine runs well on air.

Complete with copies of the original build articles, the engine really only needs platework for cab and tanks to complete.
