An early stage 5 inch gauge Quarry Hunslet. Work to date is crispy done, fit and finish of machinine is good. The chassis currently comprises erected frames with buffer beams and stretchers, wheels and axleboxes fitted, along with flycranks, valve eccentric sheaves, the majority of the valve gear including expansion links, eccentric rods and straps, brake hangers and shoes and a pair of neatly made running boards.

I'm sure there can't be a model engineer in the world who doesn't know what one of these looks like when finished, but just in case there are some pictures of a good one we had in the archive here.
