Cylinders complete with pistons, piston valves and drain cocks, with linkage to cab.
Axle pump fitted complete with eccentric strap and sheave.
The pistons run smoothly in the bores, the piston valve bobbins are tight.
The 8 wheel bogie tender is complete to soleplate level and has compensated brakes fitted. The Southern fitted both 6 and 8 wheel tenders, the larger ones required on non-stop routes due to the scarcity of water troughs on the Southern Region.
The N15 and S15 classes were very similar, sharing boilers and tender components. We have a set of drawings for the Martin Evans S15 design "Greene King" in 3 1/2 inch gauge which would be a good starting point for completing this locomotive.
