A 5 inch gauge OS Stephenson's "Rocket", winner of the Rainhill Trials, strong contender for the title "World's most famous locomotive" (although I suspect "Flying Scotsman" would run it a close second).

This one has recently arrived from a long-time customer of ours who bought it last year.

Originally conceived, built and sold as a coal-fired, live steam model we would class this in the "dancing bear" category of models - it's a marvel the bear can dance at all, you don't question the quality of its performance...

Update Monday 29th June: Stan's had this one in steam much of the afternoon. A man with defter fingers than I and complete mastery of a grate the size of a matchbox - it ran very nicely, there's some video of it here.
