A well-advanced ModelWorks kit-built "Britannia", with assembled locomotive chassis. What marks this one out compared to the many other kits I've had in is the care that's gone into the build so far, with the builder having no fear of hard work and re-engineering parts for functional or aesthetic reasons. The chassis has been assembled carefully, the valve gear has been finished to a good standard and the whole plot pushes along freely.

Boiler is a silver-soldered copper job with all paperwork and CE mark. There are several boxes and tins of parts which look to contain everything required to complete - boiler fittings, platework, stainless steel superheaters etc – and a complete set of assembly documentation.
