A well made "Maid of Kent", LBSC's excellent 4-4-0 design, in this instance done up in Midland Compound guise. An older engine, it's in good order and runs well - boiler was new in April 2010.
Silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by twin injectors with hand pump in the tender. Cast iron cylinder with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear with pole reverser in the cab, sight feed lubricator.
Like this one - it's a handsome engine that goes well, there's a clip of it running in the workshop here. Complete with a pair of transit boxes.
