Work to date is to a decent standard and comprises a rolling chassis complete with motion work and valve gear - it turns over freely, wheel quartering and rod lengths all correct.
Boiler is complete with initial shell test certificate from Blackgates Engineering detailing a 160psi test for 80psi working pressure. It's fully fitted out with safety valves, blowdown valve, water gauges with protectors and clack valves. There is a new whistle valve, steam valve and injector included.
Saddle tank is a finely made thing, TIG-welded in stainless steel - same method of construction we use on the water tanks we fit to all our new engines, wouldn't use anything else.
Tender comprises a rolling chassis, it requires superstructure and a tank to complete.
There is work left to do on this one, but little by way of further expenditure required.
