A well made engine, this one impressed us with its performance on test. "Steams like a witch!" according to the workshop notes, it easily maintained pressure running on the rolling road, without need of the blower.
The injector - piped to take water from an external tank - hand and axle pumps all proved reliable, the steam-operated drain cocks work beautifully. The pop-type safety valves lifted freely at 80psi, with no tendency to accumulate.
Paintwork has been well-executed in a typical narrow gauge livery and lining scheme - to our eyes attractive.
The boiler has had hydraulic and steam tests with new certification issued, with a new pressure gauge fitted at this time.
The engine is offered with full certification, 12 months warranty, set of firing irons and a starter kit of coal and oil.
