We first sold this one back in 2015 when it came over from Ireland in part exchange for a Feldbahn. Unused by its previous owner, it had been on display in his house for several years.
We subsequently sold it to a long-time customer of ours, an experienced model engineer with many good engines to his credit. The engine has recently come back as, in retirement, he's downsizing to more manageable sized gauge 1 live steam for his garden railway.
A well-sorted engine, it runs well, notching up in either direction and is exceptionally free steaming - there's some video of it on the rolling road here.
