An LNER L1 to the Clarkson design, a design we rarely see these days. A handsome looking engine, it's a large, powerful locomotive in this scale.

Silver soldered copper boiler, 100psi working pressure, feed by twin injector, axle and handpumps. Gunmetal cylinders with slide valves actuated by Walschaert's gear with pole reverser in cab, mechanical lubricator.

Completed in 1994, the engine has been well built and is in good mechanical order.
