This one has come to us from a formidably accomplished engineer, the man responsible for what remains the best 3 inch scale Foden steam wagons we've ever had, one of the finest road vehicles in any scale.
The cab houses a single 12 volt battery, driving a motor in each bogie. There is an electrically operated bell, as well as running lights fore and aft.
Bodywork is in steel, the centre windows left unglazed to provide access to the directional lighting switch.
The original locomotives had cab steps and pantographs. The builder considered that these would be fragile and vulnerable to damage if running regularly - however, it would be an interesting project to add them should a new owner desire.
