The boiler has evidence of repairs in the past, although on hydraulic test showed no signs of leaks or distortion, other than at gasket faces of regulator and wet header.

The valve gear has been made to a pedestrian standard - fettling would improve its appearance - although the engine runs in both directions.
The tender-mounted hand pump works reliably.
