The previous owner had kept it for display - it appears not to have been run in years, very grubby with light surface rust on the brightwork. There's a new grate with it but the ashpan and pin has long since disappeared.
Boiler has had a twice working pressure hydraulic test and appears sound. The chassis runs on air in both directions - it's fitted with Stephensons gear which, whilst anachronistic, provides considerably more reliable and robust control of the valves compared to the original Gab gear.
