Built in 2008, the boiler has had a recent test and is warrantied as sound. Chassis runs in a fairly desultory way - there is work required on both the regulator and valve setting; safety valves need replacing.
Plain paintwork was applied in a fairly workmanlike manner when new and now needs at least some retouching (although if stripping to do that, why not repaint and line in high-Victorian style, "Hugh Napier" being our current favourite in its fabulous "Mars Bar" livery)
