Built in 1987 to the Martin Evans design, this outstanding model has been widely exhibited in the UK. Copper boiler, all silver-soldered with stainless steel superheater. Detailed backhead with sight feed cylinder lubricator and fully compensated steam brake gear.
The tender has ben highly detailed with over 2000 hand-set rivets, top vents, opening tool and lamp-boxes and full brake gear.
It has been run for less than twenty hours in total, has a boiler certificate to 2003 and comes complete with high quality fitted wooden transit cases and a glazed display cabinet with ballasted exhibition track. The engine is stove enamelled in British Railways livery and has much added detail. It is in first class running order, mechanically as-new.
