An exceptionally well-built Great Western 51XX, built to Trevor Shortlands design in 1 1/16" scale - we'd put this one at about 75% complete. Work is of an excellent standard throughout - same builder as the Stirling Single we've recently sold.
Work to date comprises a well advanced rolling chassis, requiring valve rods, one connecting rod and various smaller parts to complete. Boiler is by John Ellis, with original manufacturer's hydraulic test from the Bishop-Ellis era.
Complete with a set of drawings. Pictures tell the whole story on this one really, one of the finest examples of this model we've seen.
