A well-made Great Western 4-6-0 "Garsington Manor" to Martin Evans' popular design, in good mechanical order with sound boiler, although the paintwork is tired. It's recently come in as part exchange against a traction engine - we've had several other good 5 inch gauge locomotives from the same man over the years, including a GWR Prairie, Britannia and LNER A3.
Silver soldered copper boiler with radiant superheaters, 80psi working pressure, feed by crosshead pump and injector with auxiliary hand pump in the tender. Cast iron cylinders with slide valves actuated by Stephenson's gear, screw reverser in the cab. Mechanical lubricator.
