We sold this one last year, it's just come back in part exchange for one of the of the Penrhyn Hunslets listed recently. Other than the rear coupling being changed to the suit owner's rolling stock - the original is still with the engine and could be easily refitted - it's in pretty much exactly the same condition as the last time we sold it.

An exceptionally well-built 5 inch gauge GWR 14XX 0-4-2T, the first time we've ever seen a kit-built 14XX where you need to look carefully to see its origins.

The work of a multi award-winning engineer with several fine engines to his credit and trophies including the Crebbin Cup, awarded for his 5 inch gauge Shay.

As with all of his models the engine has been fastidiously maintained, it's in excellent condition throughout.

Its performance is the equal of the best scratch-built examples we've had in over the years; it steams and runs exceptionally well - there's some video of it here. A most impressive piece of kit.
