Now you don't often see pictures of a 14xx in a blizzard - this was before Christmas, we had a run of savage weather, with two nights below -15C!

A kit-built Great Western tank engine, it's been in regular club use the last two years and comes complete with a travelling box.

Silver soldered copper boiler, feed by axle pump, injector and auxiliary hand pump in the side tank. Inside cylinders with Stephenson's valve gear operated by screw reverser in the cab, mechanical lubricator.

Paintwork is pretty decent, it's a smartly turned out engine, certainly one of the better put together ones we've had in.
