A beautifully made copper objet d'art, by the estimable John Ellis, boilermaker of repute.

This piece bears the hallmarks of a master coppersmith - beautifully formed plates, excellent solder penetration and neatly fitted bushes.

Barrel is just over 4 1/4 inch diameter, 12 inches long.

Stamped up with serial number, test pressure and 2003 date of manufacture - about the only thing more one could want would be a CE mark, the lack of which renders it untestable.
